This presentation is made available via resources created by members of the National Working Group on Foster Care and Education (NWG), which is facilitated by the Legal Center for Foster Care and Education at the American Bar Association Center on Children and the Law. Learn more at https://www.fostercareandeducation.org/national-working-group.
Our training is a combination of introductory videos that explain the resources that they have assembled, coupled with documents that lead to additional online sources of information.
Each lesson will be presented with an introductory video that highlights the resources being made available on the topic. We encourage you to visit as many of these linked resources as possible to gain a feel for what is available to you, the challenges faced by students in foster care, and to find out what NWG members are doing to meet the outlined needs.
We have also assembled a link library that contains all of the links found on those individual resources so that you have multiple ways to search and access the information.
In order to receive a certificate for this course, you will be required to watch each video in its entirety, visit and review the documents provided, then answer a few brief questions on each lesson.
